Indore, July 18, 2026: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav chaired a high-level meeting at Samatva Bhavan to review preparations for the proposed Cabinet meeting at Jagdishpur village on July 19 and the Monsoon Session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly beginning on July 20. During the meeting, proposed bills and policy matters to be presented before the Council of Ministers were discussed in detail, and senior officials were issued necessary directions.

Cabinet meetings have already been held at Jabalpur, Singrampur, Maheshwar, Indore Rajwada, Pachmarhi, Khajuraho, and Nagalwadi. The eighth Destination Cabinet Meeting will be held on July 19 at Jagdishpur village in Bhopal district. The objective is to honor the state's rich history, cultural heritage, and great personalities while accelerating the development of these regions.

Indore, July 18, 2026: The Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, has started accepting applications for the Scholarship Scheme for Children of Beedi and Mine Workers. Eligible students can apply online through the National Scholarship Portal until October 31, 2026. Under the scheme, students studying from Class 1 to professional courses will receive annual scholarships ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹25,000, which will be transferred directly to their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Applicants must complete One-Time Registration (OTR) and Face Authentication. Online verification by the respective school or college is also mandatory after application submission.

Indore, July 18, 2026: The Department of Farmer Welfare has urged farmers to insure their Kharif crops under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) by July 31, 2026. The department stated that due to the possible impact of El Niño, irregular rainfall, drought, excessive rainfall, and other natural calamities during 2026, farmers should ensure insurance coverage for all notified crops. Farmers have been advised not to wait until the last date and to complete the insurance process through their nearest bank branch, Customer Service Centre (CSC), Crop Insurance Portal, Crop Insurance App, or authorized insurance company.

Indore, July 18, 2026: The Government Pre-Examination Training Centre, Indore, has invited applications for free coaching for the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) Preliminary-cum-Mains Examination 2027. Assistant Commissioner and Principal Asha Chauhan said that candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) who are residents of Madhya Pradesh are eligible to apply. Indore, July 18, 2026: Acting under the directions of Collector Shivam Verma, the district administration continues its strict campaign against illegal encroachments on government land. As part of this initiative, government land in Khajrana village under Juni Indore Tehsil, valued at approximately ₹80 crore, was cleared of illegal encroachments. Under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Revenue), Juni Indore, Ghanshyam Dhangar, a joint team comprising the Revenue Department, Municipal Corporation, and Police carried out the operation.
