Major Anti-Encroachment Drive: Government Land Worth 80 Crore Freed from Encroachment in Khajrana

Indore, July 18, 2026: Acting under the directions of Collector Shivam Verma, the district administration continues its strict campaign against illegal encroachments on government land. As part of this initiative, government land in Khajrana village under Juni Indore Tehsil, valued at approximately ₹80 crore, was cleared of illegal encroachments.

Under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Revenue), Juni Indore, Ghanshyam Dhangar, a joint team comprising the Revenue Department, Municipal Corporation, and Police carried out the operation. The encroachments on Survey No. 435/1/1/1, measuring 1.200 hectares, were removed. During the drive, seven permanent shops, two houses, huts, and temporary tin sheds were demolished.

Tehsildar Rakesh Sastiya informed that a hospital is proposed to be constructed on the reclaimed land, which will provide modern and improved healthcare facilities to residents of the area.

Collector Shivam Verma stated that illegal occupation of government land will not be tolerated, and similar actions will continue to safeguard public property for development and public welfare projects.
