“I Have Not Come to Meet My Guru, I Have Come to Merge into My Guru,” Says the Disciple

Sonkatch / Pushpagiri:
A deeply emotional and spiritually uplifting moment unfolded at Pushpagiri Teerth as ‘Antarmana’ Acharya Shri 108 Prasanna Sagar Ji Maharaj, the worthy disciple of Ganacharya Acharya Shri 108 Pushpadant Sagar Ji Mahamuniraj and a Singh Nishkriya Vratdhari saint, made his grand and auspicious entry into the holy shrine along with Upadhyaya Muni Shri 108 Piyush Sagar Ji Maharaj and the monastic congregation.
Prior to the grand entry, Acharya Prasanna Sagar Ji’s ceremonial procession commenced from Bhagirath Avenue Colony, Sonkatch, led by the Akash Jain Guru Bhakt Family. Accompanied by a traditional band, the procession proceeded towards Pushpagiri Teerth. Along the route, members of various social, religious, and political organizations warmly welcomed the revered saint and sought his blessings.
At approximately 3:45 PM, the long-awaited reunion between Acharya Shri 108 Pushpadant Sagar Ji Mahamuniraj and his disciple Acharya Shri 108 Prasanna Sagar Ji Maharaj took place. The disciple circumambulated his Guru three times with the monastic congregation before bowing at his Guru’s feet to seek blessings.
The atmosphere turned profoundly emotional when Guru and disciple embraced each other. Tears welled up in the eyes of Acharya Prasanna Sagar Ji during the embrace, and the touching scene moved thousands of devotees present at the venue. The entire Pushpagiri Teerth echoed with chants in praise of the Guru and disciple.
Students from nearby schools and colleges showered flower petals to welcome the revered saints. Holding each other’s hands, the Guru and disciple ascended the stage together, where Acharya Prasanna Sagar Ji and the Sangh performed the ceremonial washing of the Guru’s feet and reverently applied the sacred dust from his feet to their foreheads. The formal program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by distinguished guests.
Addressing the gathering, Acharya Shri 108 Prasanna Sagar Ji Maharaj said:
“If you must place your trust in someone, place it only in your Guru. Otherwise, life itself becomes difficult. The Supreme Soul can be realized only through the Guru. In life, apart from God, the scriptures, and the Guru, everything else is impermanent and unreliable. Before my Guru accepted me, no one recognized my worth. It was my Guru who embraced me and made my life priceless.”
In his blessings, Ganacharya Acharya Shri 108 Pushpadant Sagar Ji Mahamuniraj said:
“The Supreme Soul resides within every individual. God never takes anything from us; He only keeps giving. Even before meeting my disciple today, tears had begun to flow from my eyes. A seed may be tiny, but when nurtured with the water and nourishment of love, it grows into a mighty banyan tree. Prasanna Sagar was that seed, and today he has become a magnificent banyan tree.”
Among those present on the occasion were MLA Dr. Rajesh Sonkar, Pushpagiri Coordinator Subhash Jain, Akash Jain, Jain Samaj President Mahendra Patodi, and a large number of devotees.
The event was conducted by Upadhyaya Muni Shri 108 Piyush Sagar Ji Maharaj, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Pushpagiri Teerth President Prakash Ajmera.
The information was shared by Publicity Coordinators Romil Patni (Sonkatch), Narendra Ajmera (Aurangabad), Piyush Kasliwal, and Rajkumar Jain Ajmera (Koderma).
