One Car Allegedly Sold to Four Different Buyers, Fraud Worth Lakhs Reported

Major Vehicle Sale Scam Alleged in Badnagar; Victims Question Delay in Police Action

Badnagar. A major alleged fraud involving the sale and purchase of a vehicle has come to light in Badnagar. Two vehicle brokers have been accused of selling the same Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire (Registration No. MP09CJ2292) to four different buyers at different times, allegedly cheating them out of several lakhs of rupees. The victims claim that despite repeatedly filing complaints with the police, no concrete action has been taken so far.

According to the complaints, Praveen Panwar and Vikram Singh Gaur (residents of Sangam Chauraha, Badnagar/Ratlam) have been accused of orchestrating the alleged fraud. The vehicle is reportedly registered in the name of Prem Singh Pal, a resident of Rajgarh Naka, Jhabua.

First Transaction

According to the complainant, Ashna Khan, wife of Athar Khan of Badnagar, purchased the vehicle for ₹220,000 through Abhishek Devda, a resident of Ratlam. The deal was allegedly completed without a formal written agreement, with documents shared only through WhatsApp.

The complainant stated that she spent an additional ₹100,000 on repairs and decoration of the vehicle. About two months later, the accused allegedly took back the car on the pretext of bringing the original documents from Jhabua but never returned it.

Vehicle Allegedly Sold Multiple Times

The victims further allege that the same vehicle was repeatedly sold to different buyers:

• Second Buyer: Ankit Choudhary (resident of Suklana) allegedly purchased the car for ₹150,000.
• Third Buyer: The vehicle was allegedly taken back and sold to Ayush Rathore (resident of Sangam Chauraha) for ₹150,000.
• Fourth Buyer: Ayush Rathore later sold the same vehicle to Gautam Jaiswal for ₹155,000.

Questions Raised Over Police Action

The alleged victims claim they have submitted multiple written complaints to the concerned police station. However, according to them, no effective legal action had been initiated at the time of reporting. They further allege that the accused continue to move freely and are still using the vehicle in Badnagar, raising concerns that more people could become victims.

The complainants have urged the district administration and senior police officials to conduct a fair investigation, initiate prompt legal proceedings against the accused, and ensure justice for all affected parties.
