Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will gift 22 development projects worth ₹204.26 crore during his visit to Panna on Friday. The projects will be inaugurated and their foundation stones will be laid at a programme organized at the Home Guard Ground, Panna district headquarters.

The programme includes inauguration of 6 completed development works worth ₹94.63 crore and foundation laying for 16 projects worth ₹109.63 crore.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will inaugurate the newly constructed buildings of Government Sandipani Higher Secondary Schools at Gunour and Pawai, along with the new building of Government College Pawai. He will also inaugurate the Brijpur and Suhava Barrage Scheme, beautification work of Brihaspati Kund, glass floor and viewpoint facility along with other development projects.

The Chief Minister will perform the foundation laying ceremony for strengthening works of four roads — Tai Road, Makrandganj-Hardwahi-Gunour Road, Madwa to Bandha Road and Saptaiya-Jharkuan-Pagra-Bamhori Road.

He will also lay the foundation stones for the Diamond Museum, Joint SDM Office Building Panna, renovation, upgradation and new construction works of the Science Building at Chhatrasal PG College Panna.

Other projects include road and divider construction from Geeta Petrol Pump to Post Office Tiraha, water management works under Swachh Bharat Mission Urban, construction of the Sub-Divisional Officer Office building at Pawai, workshop and new building construction at Government Polytechnic College Panna, construction of 100-seater boys and girls hostels at Government Excellence Higher Secondary School Pawai, and upgradation works of Government High School Rakseha and Bhaptapur Kurmiyan into Higher Secondary Schools.

Farmers of Bhabhra in Alirajpur district expressed immense happiness after being honoured by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav during the Balram Agriculture Festival organized under the Farmers Welfare Year 2026.

The farmers said that the Mohan Government is working continuously for the welfare of farmers and providing benefits through various schemes.

Government Support Helped Expand Mango Farming

Yashpal Singh from Kanda village said that he practices natural farming of mangoes. He has more than 1,000 Kesar mango trees spread over nearly 18 acres of land.

He said that the agriculture department initially provided him 400 saplings and financial assistance, which helped him expand his mango orchard. Today, the produce from his farm is sold in different states.

He said government policies have helped farmers so much that he does not need to search for markets. Buyers directly reach his farm. He also received benefits from the solar pump scheme. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and said he wants to obtain a natural farming certificate so that he can export mangoes to foreign countries.

Government is Doing a Lot for Farmers

Vijay Singh from Jobat’s Kanda village said he was extremely happy to receive recognition from the Chief Minister. He cultivates Kesar mangoes on around 9 acres and has more than 1,000 trees.

He informed that he sold mangoes worth nearly ₹8 lakh this year. His entire produce is sold in the local market. He said the government has provided support for mango cultivation and requested arrangements for fencing of orchards to protect crops.

Crop Insurance Scheme Provides Major Relief

Mal from Janiya-Keldi area said she feels proud after being honoured by the Chief Minister. She cultivates crops like sorghum, pearl millet, maize, tur, and urad.

She said that although rainfall has been less this year, millets require less water and provide support to farmers. She added that crop insurance compensation provides relief whenever crops are damaged.

Farmers said that agricultural officers regularly provide information about organic fertilizers, modern farming techniques and government schemes. They expressed satisfaction with government initiatives and hoped that more farmer-friendly schemes would be introduced in the future.

Students Trained in Disaster Management and Life-Saving Skills

The 11th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) organized a School Safety Programme at Ashoka Hall Senior Secondary School, Vijay Nagar, as part of pre-monsoon deployment preparations.

The objective of the programme was to create awareness among students, teachers and school staff about natural and man-made disasters and provide practical training in emergency safety measures, first aid and life-saving techniques.

During the training, NDRF personnel demonstrated safe evacuation methods during earthquakes, fire incidents, floods, electrical accidents and other emergencies. They also provided practical demonstrations of CPR, first aid and other rescue techniques.

The programme was organized under the guidance of NDRF Headquarters and 11th Battalion Commanding Officer Anoop Singh Bisht. Inspector Rekha Kumari encouraged students to share the knowledge gained during the training with their families and society to increase disaster awareness.

Principal Ashima John, Manager Ajay Dubey, NDRF Assistant Sub-Inspector Jitendra Kumar, Civil Defence General Warden Sunil Garg, school staff and NDRF personnel were present during the programme.

Review Meeting Held to Assess Progress of Financial Year 2026-27 Targets

A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Abhishek Gehlot to discuss the progress of development blocks according to the targets set for the financial year 2026-27.

The meeting discussed the findings of the State Unit team’s visit conducted on July 8. District Project Manager Anjula Jha was also present.

CEO Abhishek Gehlot directed officials to complete Udyam Aadhaar registration in the remaining Gram Panchayats of Majholi and Sihora within two days. He instructed officials to give priority to first-phase bank linkage cases and submit pending RF (Revolving Fund) and CIF (Community Investment Fund) proposals within 15 days.

He also directed officials to ensure physical verification of self-help groups, uploading of meeting details with photographs on the Saarthak app, regular meetings of groups, timely changes in office bearers, and updating of e-KYC, face authentication, mobile numbers and bank account details on the LOKOS portal.

The meeting also reviewed the process of connecting eligible families with self-help groups in Kundam, Shahpura and Sihora, opening pending bank accounts and including remaining mid-day meal scheme groups under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Rural Livelihood Mission.

CEO Gehlot instructed officials to fully implement activities under the Model Cluster Level Federation, regularly update information on the LOKOS portal, complete pending Digital Livelihood Register entries under the Lakhpati Initiative Scheme by July 31, and ensure attendance of all mission personnel through the Saarthak app.

The suggestions received during visits by the Ministry of Rural Development and State Unit teams were also discussed during the meeting.
