Effective Action Against Adulterated and Unsafe Food Products, Intensive Inspection of Dairy Establishments in Indore

Special Inspection Campaign Continues to Ensure Quality of Milk and Dairy Products

Following the directions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, continuous and effective action is being taken across Madhya Pradesh against adulterated and unsafe food products. As part of this initiative, the Commissioner, Food Safety Madhya Pradesh, and Controller, Food and Drug Administration, Madhya Pradesh, have launched a statewide special inspection and sampling campaign to ensure the quality of milk and dairy products.

Under the guidance of Collector Shri Shivam Verma, the Food Safety Administration Indore conducted intensive inspections of dairy establishments in the Rau area. During the campaign, Food Safety Officers collected samples of milk and dairy products from various establishments. A mobile food testing laboratory (Food Safety on Wheels) was also used for spot testing and public awareness activities.

Action Taken Against Dairy Operating Without Food Registration

During the inspection of Patidar Milk Dairy, Rangwasa Road, Indore, it was found that the establishment did not possess a valid food registration certificate. This was found to be a violation of the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

In the presence of seller Shri Suresh Patidar, two samples of mixed milk and paneer were collected for laboratory testing. Necessary legal action is being initiated as per rules for operating a food business without valid registration.

Inspection of Avantika Milk Dairy Sweets and Namkeen

The Avantika Milk Dairy Sweets and Namkeen located in Mahashakti Nagar was also inspected. During the inspection, manufacturing and sale of curd, paneer, ghee, sweets, and namkeen were found at the premises.

Three samples of milk, ghee, and paneer were collected from the establishment for testing.

Inspection of Satguru Milk Point

The Satguru Milk Point, Station Chowk, Rau, was inspected in the presence of proprietor Shri Vikas Choudhary. Samples of cow milk, paneer, and curd were collected from the establishment for quality testing.

Mobile Food Testing Laboratory Conducts Spot Testing and Awareness Drive

During the campaign, preliminary spot testing of food products was carried out in the Rau area through the Mobile Food Testing Laboratory (Food Safety on Wheels).

Food business operators and citizens were educated about identifying adulteration in food products, maintaining personal hygiene, safe storage practices, maintaining cold chain facilities, and complying with food safety standards.

08 Food Samples Collected from 03 Dairy Establishments

The Food Safety Department informed that during the day’s action, inspections were conducted at three dairy establishments and a total of eight food samples were collected.

All samples will be sent to the State Food Testing Laboratory, Bhopal, for examination. Further legal action will be taken under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 after receiving the test reports.

The district administration has appealed to citizens to report any adulteration or irregularities in food products through the Collector Helpline 0731-181, CM Helpline, FoSCoS Portal, or other available channels so that prompt and effective action can be ensured.
