Ujjain’s Daughter Devanshi Strikes Gold at State Shooting Championship

Around 2,000 Athletes Participated in the State-Level Competition

Ujjain: Devanshi Govil, a talented young shooter from Ujjain, the hometown of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, won a Gold Medal at the State-Level Shooting Championship held in Indore, bringing pride to her city with an outstanding performance.

According to sports coach Vijay Bali, the championship was organized from July 3 to July 8 at the BSF Revati Shooting Range in Indore, with nearly 2,000 athletes participating from across the state. Under the expert guidance and rigorous training of Ujjain-based coach Viraj Parihar, Devanshi delivered an exceptional performance by winning one Gold Medal, one Silver Medal, and two Bronze Medals, showcasing her remarkable talent and making Ujjain proud.

Her impressive achievement was appreciated and encouraged by Madhya Pradesh Sports Minister Vishvas Sarang. Devanshi also had the opportunity to receive valuable guidance and advanced shooting techniques from Olympic medal-winning shooter Manu Bhaker, which further enhanced her skills.

At the closing ceremony, the winning athletes were felicitated with medals by Jayvardhan Singh Chauhan, coach of the Indian Shooting Team, who congratulated and motivated the participants for their outstanding performances.

Devanshi’s remarkable success has brought immense joy to the sporting community of Ujjain. Expressing her gratitude, she dedicated her achievement to her parents and coach, acknowledging their constant support, encouragement, and guidance throughout her journey.
