“May the Chariot of Service and Dedication Continue Its Journey” – Satyanarayan Patel

Indore: If one has to present a true example of selfless service and dedication, the name of social worker Madan Parmaliya stands out. The work he has accomplished in the field of social service is something that many people may not achieve even in several lifetimes. Looking at the overwhelming gathering at his civic felicitation ceremony, it feels as though a sacred river of society has descended here. I, too, have come to honor Madan Parmaliya with the holy waters of the Narmada and Shipra rivers.
These were the words of National Poet Satyanarayan Sattan while addressing the civic felicitation ceremony organized by Shri Geeta Rameshwaram Trust in honor of social worker Madan Parmaliya.
Sattan said that many people spend huge amounts of money on advertisements, posters, and publicity to gain recognition, yet they fail to earn a place in people’s hearts. In contrast, the immense gathering of well-wishers at Parmaliya’s felicitation reflected the gratitude and affection he has earned through years of dedicated social service. While many contribute financially to social causes, those who donate their time selflessly are truly rare, and Madan Parmaliya is among the finest examples of such commitment.
The ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including Padma Shri Bhairav Singh Chauhan, Padma Shri Jagdish Joshila, Lieutenant Colonel Surendra Singh (Kargil Veteran), Chintaman Parsai, INTUC President Shyam Sundar Yadav, Congress leader Archana Jaiswal, Ishwar Jhamnani, Press Club President Deepak Kardam, and Vice President Pradeep Joshi.
Delivering the welcome address, former MLA Satyanarayan Patel praised Parmaliya’s remarkable dedication to social service. He said that the large gathering of admirers clearly reflected the significance of his contributions and expressed his hope that Parmaliya’s journey of service and commitment would continue uninterrupted. Patel remarked that although Parmaliya began his mission alone, his efforts gradually inspired a large caravan of supporters.
Vinod Satyanarayan Patel of Shri Geeta Rameshwaram Trust informed that the felicitation ceremony was held at the Vidyasagar School Auditorium. During the event, the guests honored Madan Parmaliya with a shawl, a coconut (Shriphal), and a citation, congratulating him for his outstanding service and wishing him continued success in the future. Several social organizations and well-wishers from across the city also felicitated him for his invaluable contribution to society.
The program commenced with a Deep Yajna conducted by the Gayatri Parivar. The audience was mesmerized by a soulful saxophone performance presented by Madhya Pradesh’s first Saxophone Star Band, led by Manisha Yadav, who performed a selection of melodious songs. The vote of thanks was delivered by Radhey Shyam Patel, National President of the Kalota Samaj.
