Bhopal: The controversy surrounding Nana Patwari, brother of Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari, has intensified both politically and on social media. While the Congress continues to describe the police action as politically motivated, Jitu Patwari is also facing sustained criticism from users on the social media platform X.
Speaking to the media, Nana Patwari admitted that he had consumed drugs three to four years ago, but asserted that he has completely distanced himself from both drugs and alcohol. He said he no longer has any association with such substances and claimed that the action against him was being driven by political motives.
Jitu Patwari also addressed the media, urging that the matter should not be turned into an act of political revenge. Referring to the case, he questioned why old incidents were being brought up now and alleged that the BJP government was targeting opposition leaders and their families.
At the same time, Jitu Patwari has continued to attack the BJP government on various issues across Madhya Pradesh. However, on social media, many of his posts have been met with strong criticism rather than support. Following his posts on X regarding his brother’s arrest, several users questioned his claims and posted comments defending the legal process. Others referred to past incidents while criticizing his statements.
As a result, Jitu Patwari has increasingly become the target of trolling on X, with many users responding to his posts by challenging his allegations instead of supporting his political stand.
Meanwhile, the political controversy continues. The Congress maintains that the action against Nana Patwari is politically motivated, whereas the police investigation is ongoing. Authorities have stated that the investigation is being conducted in accordance with the law and based on the available evidence.
Note: Nana Patwari’s statements regarding his past drug use and Jitu Patwari’s allegations of political vendetta are their own public statements. Similarly, the reactions described in this report represent the views expressed by social media users and do not independently establish the facts of the case.
