Bhopal: The arrest of Nana Patwari, brother of Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari, has triggered a fresh political controversy in the state. Following the police action, Jitu Patwari took to social media platform X, tagging the Chief Minister and alleging that the arrest was an act of political vendetta. However, his post also prompted a wave of reactions from users, many of whom criticized and trolled him.
In his post on X, Jitu Patwari claimed that his brother, Nana Patwari, had been arrested without prior notice. He alleged that the action was politically motivated and accused the state government of targeting opposition leaders and their family members out of political rivalry.
Soon after the post went viral, numerous X users questioned his allegations. Several users commented, “Does the police issue prior notice before making every arrest?” Others argued that if an individual is wanted in connection with a legal case, the police are empowered to act in accordance with the law, and prior intimation is not necessarily required before an arrest.
The issue quickly became a topic of discussion on social media, with many users trolling Jitu Patwari over his remarks. Various posts questioned his stand and debated the legal procedures governing arrests. Hashtags related to #JituPatwari and #NanaPatwari also gained traction on the platform.
While the Congress has described the arrest as an instance of political revenge, the official response of the police and the Madhya Pradesh government regarding Jitu Patwari’s allegations is awaited.
Note: The allegations of political vendetta are those made publicly by Jitu Patwari. The social media reactions cited in this report reflect the views of individual users and do not independently establish the facts surrounding the arrest.
