

New Delhi/Bhopal: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its candidate for the upcoming Datia (Assembly Constituency No. 22) by-election in Madhya Pradesh. The party’s Central Election Committee has approved the candidature of Ashutosh Tiwari for the by-poll.
According to a press release issued by the BJP Central Office in New Delhi on July 10, 2026, the Central Election Committee has officially nominated Ashutosh Tiwari to contest the Datia Assembly by-election.
The party also announced a change in its candidate for the Bankipur Assembly constituency in Bihar. Neeraj Kumar Sinha has been named as the BJP candidate, replacing the previously announced nominee.
The official press release was signed by Arun Singh, BJP National General Secretary and In-charge of the Party Headquarters.
With the announcement of Ashutosh Tiwari’s candidature, political activity in the Datia Assembly constituency is expected to intensify. The focus will now shift to the election schedule and the campaign strategies of various political parties as the by-election gathers momentum.
