Gaya: Passengers travelling through Bihar’s key railway hub Gaya Junction are set to face major disruptions as the Railways has imposed a 45-day mega block from Thursday for the reconstruction of Platform No. 2 and Platform No. 3.
The mega block will remain in force till March 21, during which both platforms will remain unusable. As a result, operations of several trains have been affected, with multiple services either diverted, partially terminated, or cancelled.
Railway authorities have advised passengers to check updated schedules before travelling to avoid inconvenience.
Platform Reconstruction Work Underway
Railway officials said the mega block is part of a major infrastructure upgrade aimed at improving passenger facilities and operational efficiency at Gaya Junction.
Concerned departments have been instructed to ensure minimum inconvenience to passengers during the construction period. Authorities have also been asked to maintain strict monitoring and provide timely information regarding platform changes and train operations to prevent chaos at the station.
