Maharashtra to Strengthen Quantum Computing and Deep Tech Ecosystem: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Pune: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed a meeting of the Maharashtra Advanced Manufacturing and Frontier Technology Institute (FTI) in Pune, emphasizing the state’s commitment to developing a world-class ecosystem for quantum computing, deep technology (Deep Tech), and frontier technologies.

The Chief Minister stated that the government is working to position Maharashtra as a leader in cutting-edge technologies by strengthening collaboration among research institutions, innovation hubs, industries, startups, and academic organizations. He added that investments in future technologies would accelerate the state’s economic growth and create high-quality employment opportunities for young people.

Fadnavis noted that global competition in areas such as quantum computing and deep technology is intensifying rapidly. He said Maharashtra aims to become a leading center for research, innovation, and technological advancement in these emerging fields.

During the meeting, experts, industry representatives, and senior government officials held detailed discussions on promoting frontier technologies, encouraging startups, enhancing research collaborations, and fostering technological innovation. The Chief Minister directed the concerned departments to prepare a time-bound action plan to effectively implement these initiatives and strengthen Maharashtra’s position as a technology-driven state.
