Illegal Encroachment Removed from Government Grazing Land

Revenue Department Demolishes Unauthorized Construction on Collector Shivam Verma’s Directions

The Indore district administration has intensified its drive against illegal encroachments on government land. Acting on the directions of Collector Shivam Verma, the Revenue Department removed illegal encroachment from government grazing land (Charnoi land) located at Jamanya Khurd village under the Bicholi subdivision.

During an inspection of approximately one acre of government land under Survey No. 198, officials found that an unauthorized permanent house and a concrete road were under construction. Using JCB machinery, the revenue team demolished the under-construction building, concrete road, and boundary pillars, thereby restoring the government land.

The action was taken against Ramprasad Dubey, a resident of Jamanya Khurd village.

The operation was carried out in the presence of SDM Ajay Bhushan Shukla, Tehsildar Anil Patel, Additional Tehsildar Shikha Soni, along with revenue inspectors and patwaris.

District Panchayat CEO Siddharth Jain Inspects Sandipani School

Reviews Food Quality, Laboratory, Library and Hostel Facilities; Interacts with Students

Chief Executive Officer of Zila Panchayat Indore, Siddharth Jain, visited Sandipani School at Ahilya Ashram on Friday to review the educational, residential, and other facilities being provided to students.

During the inspection, he examined the quality of food, cleanliness, science laboratory, library, classrooms, and hostel facilities, while issuing necessary directions to the concerned officials.

Mr. Jain instructed authorities to ensure hygienic, nutritious, and quality meals for students in accordance with prescribed standards and emphasized maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.

He also inspected the school’s modern science laboratory and reviewed the equipment, practical learning arrangements, and scientific activities. He stressed the importance of providing students with experimental and practical education to develop scientific thinking, research aptitude, and innovation.

During his visit to the library, he encouraged students to make regular use of library resources and advised them to read books related to general knowledge, literature, and competitive examinations in addition to their academic curriculum.

The CEO interacted directly with students to understand their academic progress, subject interests, career aspirations, and the facilities available at the institution. He encouraged them to set clear goals and work diligently toward achieving them.

He stated that providing quality education, nutritious meals, modern educational resources, and a safe learning environment remains one of the government’s highest priorities. He added that regular school inspections and direct interaction with students are effective means of improving the quality of education.

Seven Food Establishments Inspected Under Special Drive; 28 Samples Collected for Testing

38 Food Items Tested on the Spot Through Mobile Food Testing Laboratory

Following the directions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the special statewide campaign against adulterated and unsafe food products is continuing across Madhya Pradesh.

Under the guidance of Collector Shivam Verma, the Food Safety Administration, Indore, conducted intensive inspections of dairy establishments, a mess, and a food outlet following a public complaint.

During the campaign, seven establishments, including five dairy units, one mess, and one food outlet, were inspected. A total of 28 food samples were collected for laboratory analysis, while 38 food items underwent preliminary on-the-spot testing through the Food Safety on Wheels mobile laboratory.

Samples Collected from Dairy Establishments

Food samples including milk, paneer, khoa, and ghee were collected from:

• Ramji Dairy, Navlakha
• Shri Gauri Gopala Mawa & Dairy Farm, Navlakha Square
• Jai Mata Di Dairy, Limbodi
• Hanumant Dairy & Sweets, Limbodi
• Dwarkadhish Dairy & Sweets, Limbodi

Spot testing was also conducted at several of these establishments using the mobile laboratory.

Inspection of Uttam Bhog Mess & Restaurant

Officials inspected Uttam Bhog Mess & Restaurant, where samples of rice, flour, and pulses were collected for testing.

The establishment was instructed to maintain hygiene, ensure scientific and safe storage of food items, and comply fully with food safety and sanitation standards.

Prompt Action on CM Helpline Complaint

Acting on a complaint received through the CM Helpline regarding the alleged sale of poor-quality chips, a joint inspection was conducted at South Indian Shri Krishna Hot Chips in Anand Bazar.

Two samples—banana chips and banana chilli chips—were collected for laboratory testing. After the inspection, the complainant was informed about the action taken and expressed satisfaction with the response.

Public Awareness Campaign Conducted

Along with inspections, officials conducted awareness activities for food business operators and the public regarding food adulteration, personal hygiene, safe storage practices, cold chain maintenance, checking manufacturing and expiry dates, and compliance with the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

Legal Action After Laboratory Reports

All 28 food samples collected during the drive are being sent to the State Food Testing Laboratory, Bhopal, for detailed analysis.

Necessary legal action will be initiated under the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, after the laboratory reports are received.

Collector Shivam Verma stated that ensuring the availability of safe, pure, and quality food products to citizens remains the district administration’s highest priority. He emphasized that strict action against violators of food safety norms will continue.

He also appealed to citizens to report cases of food adulteration, unhygienic practices, or any other irregularities through the Collector Helpline (0731-181), CM Helpline, FoSCoS Portal, or other available grievance channels so that prompt and effective action can be taken.
