Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the teachings of saints illuminate the path to a better life and that moral values are essential for building a strong society. He emphasized that India’s festivals and traditions convey meaningful messages for the welfare of humanity.

The Chief Minister was addressing the Guru Purnima celebrations at Shri Jugal Kishore Temple in Panna, where he received the blessings of Shri Shri 108 Mahant Swami Kishordas Ji Maharaj from Vrindavan. He greeted devotees from different regions and encouraged them to imbibe the inspiring teachings of saints.

Dr. Yadav described Panna as a miniature form of Vrindavan and noted that Orchha is revered as the Ayodhya of Bundelkhand. He called for the promotion of cow protection, celebration of festivals of all faiths with enthusiasm, preservation of the Vikram Samvat tradition, and development of pilgrimage sites associated with Lord Rama and Lord Krishna.

He informed that the state’s CM Rise Schools are now being operated under the name Sandipani Vidyalaya. He also announced that Gita Bhawans and libraries will be established in all urban local bodies and that the government is moving forward with the concept of developing Vrindavan Villages.

The Chief Minister said the state is working toward implementing a common legal framework for all religions while strengthening communal harmony. He also announced that Panna will host a three-day annual Katha Festival and that a Sanskrit school will be established in the district.

Member of Parliament Vishnudutt Sharma, MLA Brijendra Pratap Singh, MLA Arvind Pateriya, other public representatives, and a large number of devotees attended the event.

Earlier, Dr. Yadav offered prayers at Shri Jugal Kishore Temple and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Madhya Pradesh.

Government Committed to Youth Welfare: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh Government is continuously working to create better educational and employment opportunities for the youth. He stated that the rapid expansion of medical colleges will significantly strengthen healthcare and medical education in the state.

Speaking to media representatives in Panna, the Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh currently has 34 medical colleges, and the number will increase to 52 within the next two years. He recalled that in 2002-03 the state had only five medical colleges with around 500 MBBS seats, whereas the current capacity has exceeded 5,500 seats.

He expressed confidence that the number of medical seats in the state will increase to 10,000 in the coming years, reflecting the government’s commitment to strengthening medical education.

The Chief Minister also announced that the Panna Medical College, being developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, will be inaugurated next year. Once operational, it will reduce the need for residents of Panna to travel to Satna or Chhatarpur for specialized medical treatment.

Special Train for Mathura-Vrindavan Pilgrimage to Depart on July 25

Under the Chief Minister Teerth Darshan Yojana, a special train carrying senior citizens from Jabalpur to Mathura-Vrindavan will depart from Jabalpur Main Railway Station at 2:10 PM on Saturday, July 25.

According to the officer in charge of the Religious Endowment Branch of the Collector’s Office, all pilgrims must carry their original Aadhaar Card during the journey. Senior citizens have also been advised to reach the railway station well before departure to complete all travel formalities.

Food Safety Officials Collect Samples During Inspection Drive

As part of an ongoing campaign launched on the instructions of Collector Raghvendra Singh, the Food Safety Department inspected Narmada Amrit Food Pvt. Ltd. Dairy at Karonda Nala on Friday. Samples of milk, paneer, curd, and ghee were collected for laboratory testing.

Food Safety Officer Amit Gupta said that following a complaint, officials also inspected the hostel of the 6th Battalion, where eight food samples—including pulses, rice, spices, cooked lentils, and kadhi—were collected for analysis.

All samples have been sent to the State Food Testing Laboratory in Bhopal. Further action will be taken after the laboratory reports are received.

Registration for Tourism Quiz 2026 Open Until Saturday Evening

Online registration for the District-Level Tourism Quiz 2026, aimed at familiarizing students with Madhya Pradesh’s rich history, cultural heritage, and tourism potential, will remain open until 5:30 PM on Saturday, July 25.

The quiz is being organized by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board in collaboration with the District Administration, Jabalpur Archaeology, Tourism and Culture Council (JATCC), and the School Education Department. The competition will be held on August 7.

JATCC CEO Piyush Dubey said that student participation has been highly encouraging this year, with registrations already surpassing last year’s figures.

Students from Classes 9 to 12 of government and private schools are eligible to participate. Each school may nominate a team of three students.

The top three winning teams will receive a two-night, three-day stay at Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation hotels, while the next three runner-up teams will receive a one-night, two-day stay. All participants will also receive certificates and commemorative gifts.
