Madhya Pradesh Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh stated that every construction project undertaken by the Public Works Department (PWD) is not merely the building of roads, bridges, or flyovers but a strong foundation for the state’s development, public convenience, and citizens’ trust. He emphasized that the department’s guiding principle is “Public Welfare Through Public Infrastructure” and that quality, transparency, accountability, and timely execution will remain the cornerstones of every project.
Chairing a review meeting on bridge construction projects at Vallabh Bhavan, the minister directed officials, engineers, contractors, and construction agencies to ensure that all projects are completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining the highest quality standards.
He instructed officials to resolve practical issues affecting project execution without delay through regular reviews, field inspections, technical evaluations, and prompt decision-making. He made it clear that negligence, unnecessary delays, or deviations from prescribed technical standards would not be tolerated.
The minister said departments and construction agencies are partners in the state’s development journey and urged contractors to maintain professional excellence by completing projects on schedule with superior quality. He assured that the department welcomes constructive suggestions and will continue promoting a collaborative work culture.
Mr. Singh also highlighted the state’s efforts to adopt modern construction technologies and best practices from leading Indian states to enhance infrastructure quality. He announced that the department would soon organize a joint workshop for engineers and contractors focusing on advanced construction technologies, quality standards, project management, innovation, and best engineering practices.
The meeting reviewed 48 ongoing bridge infrastructure projects worth over ₹30 crore each, including five flyovers, 33 Railway Over Bridges (ROBs), and 10 bridges. Officials were directed to prioritize delayed projects and strengthen monitoring mechanisms to ensure timely completion.
Collector Raghvendra Singh Directs Time-Bound Disposal of Revenue Cases

Jabalpur Collector Raghvendra Singh directed revenue officials to ensure the timely disposal of all pending revenue cases during a review meeting held at the Panagar Tehsil Office.
The meeting reviewed the progress of mutation, land partition, demarcation, revenue recovery, CM Helpline complaints, PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, e-KYC, and Farmer ID generation.
The Collector instructed patwaris to expedite the disposal of pending revenue matters and accord top priority to resolving CM Helpline complaints. Officials were also directed to keep the CM Helpline mobile application installed to monitor complaint status and ensure prompt resolution.
Mr. Singh emphasized the importance of creating Farmer IDs for all eligible farmers, noting that the initiative helps resolve issues on the e-Vikas Portal. He also instructed officials to achieve revenue recovery targets for the current financial year and expedite court-related cases, mutation proceedings, and land partition matters.
The Collector further directed officials to immediately report incidents of illegal mining and transportation to the SDM and Tehsildar to facilitate swift legal action.
Collector Reviews Progress of Development Schemes in Panagar

Collector Raghvendra Singh chaired a joint review meeting at the Panagar Municipal Council to assess the implementation of schemes related to education, healthcare, women and child development, agriculture, and allied sectors.
Reviewing the Education Department’s performance, he examined student enrollment, academic quality, APAAR ID generation, textbook distribution, and bicycle distribution. Officials were instructed to complete textbook distribution on time, identify out-of-school children, and ensure their enrollment at the earliest.
The Collector also directed officials to prepare and verify lists of migrant families under the Child Tracking Survey and emphasized stronger coordination between the Education Department and the Women and Child Development Department to ensure smooth transition of children from Anganwadi centers to primary schools.
During the review of the Health and Women & Child Development Departments, he instructed officials to ensure village-wise ANC registration and follow-up, strengthen healthcare services for anemic women, ensure timely functioning of Anganwadi centers, maintain 100% attendance of children, and effectively implement the Chief Minister Child Health Programme. The progress of Ayushman Card issuance was also reviewed.
Reviewing agriculture-related schemes, the Collector assessed the Dairy Prosperity Outreach Campaign, fertilizer distribution through the e-Vikas Portal, the Prime Minister Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme, and seed and fertilizer quality control. He directed officials to ensure transparent implementation of self-employment schemes and improve drinking water supply and sanitation services.
Publicity Vehicle Flagged Off for Exhibition on Kargil Victory and 12 Years of Good Governance

A publicity vehicle was flagged off on Friday to promote a three-day exhibition on “Kargil Vijay Gatha,” “12 Years of Service and Good Governance,” and other themes, organized by the Central Bureau of Communication under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in collaboration with the district administration.
The vehicle was flagged off from Mahakaushal Government College by Acting Principal A.C. Tiwari and Divisional Nodal Officer Prof. Arun Shukla.
The campaign vehicle will tour various parts of the city to encourage citizens to visit the exhibition, which will be held from July 25 to 27 at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of Mahakaushal Government College. The exhibition will remain open to the public free of charge from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.
Rural Development Minister Prahlad Singh Patel to Arrive in Jabalpur

Madhya Pradesh Minister for Panchayat & Rural Development and Labour Prahlad Singh Patel is scheduled to arrive in Jabalpur by road from Bhopal at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
According to the official itinerary, the minister will depart for Sagar by road at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 25.
Cleanliness Is the Foundation of Healthy Living; Registration Mandatory for Bulk Waste Generators

The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation organized a workshop on the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, emphasizing the responsibilities of bulk waste generators in maintaining a clean and sustainable urban environment.
Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu said that cleanliness is essential for a healthy life and that keeping the city clean cannot be the responsibility of the Municipal Corporation alone. Every citizen and institution—including hotels, hospitals, marriage gardens, and residential societies—must actively contribute.
He stated that under the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, establishments with a built-up area exceeding 200,000 square feet, generating more than 500 kilograms of waste per day, or consuming over 40,000 liters of water daily must install sewage treatment plants, waste management facilities, and rainwater harvesting systems.
Collector Raghvendra Singh informed participants that the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, effective from April 1, 2026, make registration mandatory for all bulk waste generators. He warned that failure to comply with the rules could invite legal action.
The Collector also encouraged hotel operators to reduce plastic use by replacing disposable toiletries with reusable dispensers, promote recycling, conserve water, and adopt innovative technologies for sustainable resource management.
Municipal Commissioner Ramprakash Ahirwar informed participants that bulk waste generators are now required to segregate waste into wet, dry, sanitary, and domestic hazardous waste and establish proper disposal systems. He urged all eligible establishments to complete online registration through the Central Pollution Control Board portal, noting that the process takes approximately 30 minutes.
Officials concluded the workshop by emphasizing that active public participation is essential to making Jabalpur a cleaner, greener, and garbage-free city.
