Farmers’ Welfare is the Top Priority: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the welfare of farmers remains the Madhya Pradesh Government’s highest priority. He stated that several initiatives are being organized under Farmer Welfare Year 2026 to promote agricultural development across the state. While the first half of the year focused on workshops covering modern farming techniques and advanced agricultural practices, the second half is dedicated to the Balram Agriculture Festival.

Addressing the Balram Agriculture Festival in Khargone virtually from Datia on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that the state’s irrigated area is expanding continuously and adequate electricity is being provided to farmers.

Helmet Distribution for Farmers Introduced as an Innovative Initiative

Dr. Yadav said that farmers who travel on two-wheelers to nearby towns carrying milk, vegetables, and other farm produce are being provided helmets to ensure their safety. He described the initiative as both innovative and beneficial for farmers.

Balram Agriculture Festivals to Continue Across All Districts Until November 13

The Chief Minister announced that Balram Agriculture Festivals will be organized in every district of Madhya Pradesh until November 13. Various agriculture-based activities will also be conducted to educate farmers about modern farming practices. He said the government is working under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the holistic development of farmers, women, youth, and the poor.

Farmers Urged to Adopt Advanced Farming Practices

Congratulating the farmers participating in the Khargone festival, Dr. Yadav urged them to adopt advanced agricultural technologies to increase productivity and income. He assured that farmers would continue to receive adequate electricity during both day and night. He further informed that 16 government departments have been integrated into the Farmer Welfare Year campaign to implement a comprehensive roadmap for enhancing farmers’ income.

A large number of farmers, public representatives, citizens, and government officials attended the Balram Agriculture Festival in Khargone.
