CM Dr. Mohan Yadav Pays Tribute to Former Chief Minister Govind Narayan Singh, Says Politics Must Serve Society

Jabalpur: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid floral tributes to former Chief Minister Late Govind Narayan Singh on his birth anniversary at the Central Hall of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, public representatives, and members of the late leader’s family were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the true purpose of politics is not merely to attain power but to serve society. He urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from the life of Late Govind Narayan Singh, whose values of service, dedication, honesty, and integrity continue to inspire public representatives.

The Chief Minister noted that Late Govind Narayan Singh became the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh in 1967 and worked to strengthen administrative accountability, transparency, and public welfare. His tenure is regarded as a significant chapter in the state’s democratic and political development.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Yadav described the late leader as one of the key figures in Madhya Pradesh’s democratic politics and praised his contributions to the freedom movement and public service. He also appreciated Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar’s initiative of organizing tribute programs on the birth and death anniversaries of former Chief Ministers and Assembly Speakers.
