Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s Initiative Gives New Direction to Governance
Jabalpur, July 18, 2026:
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has introduced an innovative tradition of holding Cabinet meetings across different regions of Madhya Pradesh instead of limiting them to the state capital, Bhopal. This initiative has strengthened public participation while promoting the state’s rich cultural, historical, and tribal heritage.
As part of this initiative, the eighth Destination Cabinet Meeting will be held on Sunday, July 19, at the historic village of Jagdishpur in Bhopal district. Besides administrative importance, the meeting will help showcase and preserve the state’s archaeological and historical heritage.
During the last two and a half years, seven Cabinet meetings have been successfully conducted outside Bhopal, including in Jabalpur, Damoh, Khargone, Narmadapuram, Chhatarpur, and Barwani districts. These meetings have honored legendary personalities such as Rani Durgavati, Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, Raja Bhabhoot Singh, and prominent tribal leaders.
Meetings at iconic locations such as Khajuraho (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Pachmarhi, Maheshwar, Rajwada (Indore), and Nagalwadi have significantly enhanced public awareness and tourism potential.
The Chief Minister has also decided to organize Agriculture Cabinet Meetings across different regions of the state. The next Cabinet meeting is proposed to be held in Ujjain, the holy city of Lord Mahakal.
