Kannauj, January 5, 2026: In a major security breach, two prisoners escaped from Kannauj District Jail by scaling the prison walls, sending shockwaves through the district. The district administration and police immediately swung into action following the incident. One of the escapees was lodged under the Arms Act and for theft, while the other was held under the POCSO Act. Both prisoners are reported to be around 22 years old.
