Deoria (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 31: Former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Amitabh Thakur, who is currently serving time at Deoria district jail on fraud charges, was admitted to Deoria Medical College on Saturday after his health reportedly deteriorated. According to officials, Thakur was brought to the medical facility in an ambulance following complaints of stomach pain and anxiety, on the advice of the jail’s medical officer. Lucknow, Jan 31:In a brazen attack in the Uttar Pradesh capital, a shopkeeper was shot by two unidentified men inside a shopping complex in Sushant Golf City late Friday night. Police are investigating the incident and have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
