Madhya Pradesh Budget to Be Presented on February 18; CM Mohan Yadav Highlights Falling Unemployment
Bhopal: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that the Madhya Pradesh budget for 2026-27, totaling ₹1.12 lakh crore, will be presented in the state assembly on February 18. Speaking to the media after the Union Budget, CM Yadav highlighted that unemployment in the state has declined to 1.5 percent, reflecting rapid improvement.
The Chief Minister said the upcoming state budget is a forward-looking plan aimed at boosting investor confidence and promoting inclusive growth. He noted that the Union Budget had given special attention to poor citizens, youth, and women, complementing the state’s development initiatives.
Key Allocations and Initiatives
Urban Development: ₹5,000 crore will be spent over five years on the development of cities with populations exceeding 5 lakh.
