MP Cabinet Clears Major Welfare Decisions; State Social Welfare Board to be Dissolved
Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, approved a series of major policy decisions on Tuesday, including the dissolution of the State Social Welfare Board and financial relief for thousands of displaced families in the Narmada Valley.
In a landmark move, the cabinet announced free registration of residential plots allotted to families displaced by the Sardar Sarovar Project. More than 25,600 affected families will benefit from the decision. The government will bear the burden of stamp duty and registration fees amounting to approximately ₹600 crore through the Narmada Valley Development Authority.
