Ujjain: Combining environmental conservation with spiritual values, the Shri Manohar Indu Mahila Mandal organized the Shri Parshwanath Panch Kalyanak Puja at the Shri Jirawala Parshwanath Temple in Suraj Nagar with great devotion and reverence.
During the ceremony, all members of the Mahila Mandal pledged to plant one sapling each under the campaign “One Tree in the Name of My Lord.” The speakers emphasized that many Jain monks attained spiritual enlightenment and liberation after performing meditation and penance under the shade of trees. Therefore, trees are not only essential for protecting the environment but also represent a significant part of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
The members stated that if every individual plants and nurtures a tree in the name of their Lord, it will contribute to environmental conservation while ensuring a greener and healthier future for the coming generations. They also appealed to everyone to actively participate in tree plantation and help preserve nature.
According to Anjana Godawat, the event was attended by Gyana Mehta, Jagruti Kothari, Chandan Jain, Vandana Gawadi, Lata, Archana, Shashi Maru, Sushila Jain, Sharmila Jain, Premlata Tarvecha, along with several other members of the Mahila Mandal.
