PIMR Launches AI-Enabled Capability Development Centre

The center will leverage Artificial Intelligence to assess and strengthen students’ cognitive, leadership, entrepreneurial, and professional competencies through personalized feedback, challenge-based learning, experiential education, and continuous capability mapping. The initiative forms a key pillar of the University’s Vision 2030 strategy to build a research-driven, technology-enabled, and globally connected institution, said Dr. Davish Jain, Chancellor, PIMR Deemed-to-be University.  
Explaining the vision behind the new initiative, Dr. Sanjeev Patni, CEO, AIC Prestige Inspire Foundation, said the Capability Development Center would create an AI-enabled learning ecosystem that aligns education with evolving industry expectations and future workforce requirements. The center, he said, will promote competency-based learning through continuous assessment, practical application, and personalized development pathways. Earlier, inaugurating the conclave, Dr. Davish Jain emphasized strengthening interdisciplinary research, international collaborations, industry partnerships, and the ethical integration of Artificial Intelligence into teaching and research.
Delivering the keynote address, internationally renowned AI expert Dr. Satyam Priyadarshy traced the evolution of Artificial Intelligence from Traditional AI to Generative AI and now Agentic AI, highlighting how intelligent systems are transforming industries through autonomous decision-making, predictive analytics, and workflow automation. He said the same technologies are poised to reshape higher education by enabling personalized learning, accelerating research, and preparing students for increasingly intelligent workplaces.
Presenting the University’s academic roadmap, Vice Chancellor 

Dr. S. S. Bhakar identified research excellence, ethical AI adoption, interdisciplinary learning, innovation, and industry-academia collaboration as the pillars of Education 5.0 and Outcome-Based Education. He advocated greater emphasis on funded research, consultancy, patents, data governance, and AI ethics to build a globally competitive research ecosystem aligned with the National Education Policy 2020. 

Addressing the faculty, Dr. Himanshu Jain, Director, Prestige Education Foundation, observed that while Artificial Intelligence is transforming education, technology cannot replace the human values that define teaching. He encouraged educators to remain lifelong learners and strengthen mentor-student relationships that foster ethical leadership, character, and lifelong learning.
The conclave also featured deliberations on institutional branding, research excellence, undergraduate transformation, legal education, student mentoring, and “Building Institutions for Viksit Bharat. ” Eminent educationists and industry leaders, including former UGC Secretary Dr. Rajnish Jain, AI entrepreneur Akhilesh Gandhi, Dr. Manish Dave** of Shiv Nadar University, Prof. Milind Padalkar, Dr. Anil Bajpai, Dr. S. Raman Iyer, and Dr. Deepak Jaroliya, shared perspectives on future-ready education, innovation, industry-academia collaboration, and institutional transformation. Concluding the conclave, Dr. Davish Jain called upon every academic unit to prepare measurable action plans for enhancing research output, admissions, placements, digital transformation, global engagement, and institutional excellence.
