Haryana Police Arrest Four Men in Gang Rape Case of UP Girl; Paytm Trail Leads to Suspects

Jhajjar, Haryana: In a horrifying incident, a young woman from Uttar Pradesh was allegedly gang-raped by five men in Jhajjar district, Haryana. Police acted swiftly and arrested four of the accused within eight hours, while one suspect remains at large. The victim has been provided medical care and counseling and is currently under hospital supervision.

Details of the Incident
According to CP Jhajjar Dr. Rajshri Singh, the victim had arrived from Uttar Pradesh with her uncle by bus at around 2 AM at Bahadurgarh. When walking to meet a relative who was supposed to pick them up, they reached a roadside eatery. The accused, who were following them, forcibly took the girl inside the closed eatery. Taking advantage of the deserted location, the men allegedly committed the gang rape. CCTV footage at the location captured the crime.

Swift Police Action
Upon reaching the police station, the victim and her uncle reported the incident. Legal assistance and counseling were provided immediately, and the victim’s statement confirmed the crime. Police teams launched a search and were able to apprehend four suspects within eight hours. One suspect remains absconding.

Paytm and AI Technology Help Crack Case
The accused, originally from Bihar but residing in Bahadurgarh, reportedly purchased alcohol after committing the crime. They had only ₹100 in cash and paid the remaining ₹30 via Paytm. Authorities traced the Paytm transaction, which, along with AI-based investigative technology, helped police identify and locate the suspects quickly.

Legal Proceedings Underway
Police have registered a case and are continuing their search for the fifth suspect. The rapid action highlights Haryana police’s use of technology in solving sensitive criminal cases and delivering swift justice.
