Cloudy Skies Expected Over Jharkhand for Next Two Days; Rain Likely After February 20

Ranchi: Jharkhand is set to experience cloudy weather over the next two to three days, with temperatures gradually rising. According to the Meteorological Department, while warm conditions will begin around February 15, rainfall may occur at some places after February 20.

Pleasant Weather Expected in February

Abhishek Anand, Director of the Indian Meteorological Department in Ranchi, said that February will witness generally pleasant weather. Light rainfall is also possible during the month. Residents can expect comfortable temperatures without severe cold or heat.

Minimum Temperatures on the Rise

In recent days, most parts of the state, including Ranchi, have seen relief from the intense cold. The minimum temperature has risen, with Ranchi recording a maximum of 24°C and a minimum above 10°C. While mornings and evenings feel slightly chilly, afternoons remain quite pleasant.

Temperature Drop Likely from February 5

The Meteorological Department predicts that clouds will persist over many parts of the state until February 4, during which the minimum temperature may rise by 3–4°C. Once the clouds clear, a slight drop in temperature is expected from February 5.

Rainfall Forecast After February 20

The weather is expected to warm up from February 15, ending the early morning and evening chill. However, after February 20, the influence of a western disturbance may bring rain to some areas. Historically, Ranchi receives normal rainfall in February, and similar conditions are expected this year.
