Alleged Poisoning of Stray Dogs Sparks Concern in Tamluk, Animal Welfare Groups Demand Investigation

Tamluk, July 18: Allegations of stray dogs being poisoned in the Tamluk municipal area of West Bengal have sparked concern among animal welfare organizations and local residents, who are demanding a fair and impartial investigation into the matter.

According to information shared on social media, around 20 stray dogs have allegedly been poisoned to death over the past year in the Sarobar area of Ward No. 13. It has also been alleged that such incidents are continuing.

Animal welfare activists have claimed that the local ward representative and the authorities have not shown adequate seriousness in addressing the issue. They have called for a thorough investigation and strict legal action against those found responsible.

However, no official statement has yet been issued by the municipal authorities or the local administration, and the allegations have not been independently verified. The actual facts will become clear only after an official investigation is completed.
