Administration Helps Student Resume Studies After Financial Hardship Forces Him to Drop Out

Tehsildar and BEO Take Initiative During Inspection; Kanha Kevat Gets Admission in Class 9

In a compassionate initiative, the Shivpuri district administration has helped a student who was forced to discontinue his education due to financial difficulties by getting him re-admitted to school. Under the instructions of Collector and District Magistrate Arpit Verma, continuous efforts are being made in the district to strengthen the education system and ensure that children remain connected with studies.

As part of this initiative, an unexpected inspection of Government Integrated High School Teela, Karera was conducted by Tehsildar Karera Lalit Sharma and Block Education Officer (BEO) Mukesh Sharma. During the inspection, all teachers were found present on time, and the officials reviewed academic activities and other arrangements at the school.

During the inspection, the officials found a student named Kanha Kevat, son of Rinku Kevat, outside the school premises. When the Tehsildar asked him about his studies, the student revealed that he had passed the Class 8 examination this year, but was unable to continue his education due to poor financial conditions at home. His family had limited sources of income and was unable to bear the expenses of his further studies, putting his future at risk.

Officials Show Sensitivity and Immediately Arrange Admission

After listening to the student’s problem, Tehsildar Lalit Sharma and BEO Mukesh Sharma immediately took action. They spoke in detail with Kanha and his family and explained that education is the key to transforming one’s life. The officials informed the family that education in government schools is completely free and students are provided benefits such as textbooks, uniforms, and scholarships, ensuring that there would be no financial burden on the family.

Following this, the officials contacted the school principal Mrs. Archana Nigoti and arranged Kanha’s admission in Class 9 at the same school. The principal welcomed the student and instructed teachers to provide him special attention and support.

The officials encouraged Kanha to attend school regularly and continue his studies with dedication.

Benefits of Government Schemes Will Be Provided

The Madhya Pradesh Government is running several schemes to ensure that children from economically weaker families continue their education. These include free textbook distribution, free uniforms, bicycle distribution, mid-day meal facilities, and scholarship schemes.

Kanha will also now be able to avail the benefits of these government initiatives.

The family of Kanha expressed happiness over the administration’s support and thanked the officials. They said that with the cooperation of the administration, their child’s future can once again move towards a brighter path.
