The Women and Child Development Department has started an 8-day induction training program for newly appointed Anganwadi workers under the guidance of District Program Officer Shri Dhirendra Singh Jadon. The training is being conducted from July 19 to July 26, 2026, at the District Office Meeting Hall. In the first phase, 40 newly appointed Anganwadi workers from the district are participating in the training.
During the training program, Anganwadi workers are being provided information about the operation of Anganwadi centres, effective implementation of departmental schemes, monitoring of children’s nutritional status, care of pregnant and lactating women, vaccination, identification of malnutrition, and better coordination with the community.
The workers are also being given practical training to ensure timely delivery of government scheme benefits to beneficiaries and to improve the nutritional status of children. The training aims to strengthen health and nutrition services at the grassroots level.
District Program Officer Shri Dhirendra Singh Jadon said during the training that Anganwadi workers are an important link of the department. He encouraged the workers to utilize the knowledge gained during the training to provide better services to children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers at the village level and actively contribute towards building a malnutrition-free society.
Assistant Director and Training Nodal Officer Shri Pawan Tiwari informed that the objective of the program is to enhance the skills and efficiency of Anganwadi workers. The training also includes guidance on the Poshan Tracker App, use of smart devices, proper data management, and online monitoring of services.
Project Officer Shri Neeraj Gurjar, Supervisors Asha Dubey and Manju Dhakad, Trainer Maya Mishra, Social Worker Shri Jitesh Jain, and other officials and employees of the Women and Child Development Department are providing training on various subjects during the program.
