₹15,000 Rewarded NDPS Accused Arrested Under “Operation Dharkarbhar”

Balotra, July 24, 2026: In a major breakthrough under the special anti-narcotics campaign “Operation Dharkarbhar,” Kalyanpur Police arrested Hanumanram alias Raju Vishnoi, a wanted accused carrying a ₹15,000 reward. The accused had been absconding in an NDPS Act case registered in Jalore district.

Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Kawat (IPS) said the district police have been conducting a special drive to arrest absconding criminals involved in narcotics trafficking. Acting under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Harphool Singh and Deputy Superintendent of Police Yogesh Chaudhary, a police team led by Kalyanpur SHO Bhanwar Singh successfully apprehended the wanted accused.

Wanted in an MD Drug Trafficking Case

According to police, on March 22, 2025, Bishangarh Police in Jalore district seized 17.60 grams of MD drug from a Panch car and arrested the driver, Pukhraj alias Prakash. An FIR was registered under the NDPS Act, and an investigation was launched.

During interrogation, the arrested accused disclosed that he had purchased the seized MD drug from Hanumanram alias Raju Vishnoi. Police immediately launched a search operation, but the accused remained absconding to evade arrest. Subsequently, the Jalore Superintendent of Police announced a ₹15,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

Arrested Through Technical Surveillance

Using technical analysis and human intelligence, the police traced the accused’s location and arrested him. After completing the required legal formalities, he was handed over to the Investigating Officer of the concerned police station in Jalore district for further investigation.

History of Criminal Cases

Police said that Hanumanram alias Raju Vishnoi, a resident of Doli Kalla village, Kalyanpur Police Station, Balotra district, has a criminal history. Several cases have previously been registered against him, including offences under the NDPS Act related to drug trafficking, as well as a road accident case.

Crackdown on Drug Traffickers to Continue

The Superintendent of Police stated that the campaign against narcotics traffickers and absconding criminals will continue with full force. He emphasized that offenders involved in drug trafficking will not be spared and will be brought to justice through strict legal action.
