Dehradun/New Delhi, July 18: Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi criticised the Central Government over alleged examination paper leaks, expressing concern about their impact on millions of students across the country.
His remarks were shared on social media by Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Addressing a public gathering, Rahul Gandhi claimed that 152 examination papers had been leaked over the past ten years, averaging one paper leak every month, affecting nearly 75 million (7.5 crore) students.
He alleged that despite the large number of such incidents, no one had been held accountable or punished. Rahul Gandhi said that this represented an insult to the country’s youth, their parents, and the years of hard work and sacrifice invested in preparing for competitive examinations.
He also called for greater transparency and accountability in the examination system and stressed the need to protect the interests of students by preventing such incidents in the future.
The figures and allegations mentioned by Rahul Gandhi reflect his political statement. At the time of filing this report, there was no immediate official response from the government regarding these specific claims.
