The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched a major crackdown on an organised fake government job racket operating across multiple states, conducting coordinated raids at 15 locations in Bihar and five other states on Thursday. The investigation, initiated by the ED’s Patna zonal office, has exposed a nationwide network that allegedly duped unemployed youth by offering them fraudulent appointments in prestigious government departments. In a shocking case of job-related fraud, two drivers deployed with Bihar Police’s Dial 112 emergency service have been found involved in cheating unemployed youths in Purnea district. Acting swiftly on the directions of the Superintendent of Police, the police arrested four accused persons and sent them to judicial custody. The fraud came to light after a young man approached the district police authorities, alleging that he was cheated of a large sum of money on the false promise of a job in a private bank.
