Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court has intervened in the Fagi–Dudu road widening project after the municipality canceled property leases without issuing individual notices, ordering the state government to respond by January 13. The court has also put a temporary stay on any demolition of petitioners’ properties until the next hearing. The controversy arose when local residents filed a petition challenging the Fagi Municipality’s decision to cancel leases and threaten demolition in the name of road widening and beautification.
