Former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur was shifted from King George’s Medical University (PGI), Lucknow, to Deoria District Jail on Friday night under tight security. Thakur is currently in jail in connection with a plot allocation fraud case. Thakur, who has been lodged in Deoria Jail since December 10, was admitted to Lucknow PGI after experiencing a sudden health scare on the night of January 6.
