Indore: Ten people have lost their lives and over 200 have fallen ill due to contaminated drinking water in Indore’s Bhagirathpura area, casting a shadow over the city’s image of cleanliness. When a television reporter questioned Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya about the incident, he reacted sharply, telling the journalist, “Don’t ask frivolous questions.” The video of his response quickly went viral, prompting the minister to issue a public apology.
However, attention has also turned to a local councillor, Kamal Vaghela, who was seen in the same viral footage defending Minister Vijayvargiya. Vaghela, wearing a sky-blue kurta, is a BJP representative from the very area hit hardest by the contaminated water crisis.
