Narendra Modi to Visit Israel; Calls Ties with Benjamin Netanyahu a Bond Built on Trust and Innovation

New Delhi, February 22, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will depart for Israel on Wednesday for an official visit, marking another significant step in the deepening partnership between the two nations. The announcement follows remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who highlighted the growing strength of India-Israel relations.

Responding to Netanyahu’s message on social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for the upcoming visit.

“Thank you, my friend, Prime Minister Netanyahu,” Modi said. “I fully agree on the strength of the bonds between India and Israel and the diversity of our bilateral relationship. India deeply values its unbreakable friendship with Israel, founded on trust, innovation, and a shared commitment to peace and progress.”

Prime Minister Modi added that he looks forward to productive discussions during his visit to Israel.

Earlier, Netanyahu had announced Modi’s historic visit, describing the India-Israel relationship as a powerful alliance between two global leaders. He emphasized that the partnership spans innovation, security, and a shared strategic vision.

“From artificial intelligence to regional cooperation, our partnership continues to reach new heights,” Netanyahu said. “Together, we are building an alliance of nations committed to stability and progress. I eagerly await meeting you in Jerusalem, Prime Minister Modi.”

The visit is expected to further strengthen cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, defense, technology, and regional security, reflecting the expanding strategic alignment between the two countries.
