Allu Arjun Earned Big from Pushpa 2: 27% Profit Share on Top of His Fee

South superstar Allu Arjun’s blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule has set new box office records, with the actor reportedly earning a 27% share of the film’s profits in addition to his fee.

Record-Breaking Collections

Released on 5 December 2024, the pan-India film quickly became a commercial phenomenon. Across all languages, it earned ₹1,234.1 crore net in India and ₹1,742.1 crore worldwide. The film was in theaters for nine weeks, consistently drawing massive audiences.

Reports suggest that Allu Arjun charged a fee of approximately ₹300 crore for his role in the film, which had a production budget estimated between ₹400–500 crore.

Profit Share Explained

Considering the Indian net collections of ₹1,234.1 crore and a maximum estimated budget of ₹500 crore, Pushpa 2 earned an approximate profit of ₹734.1 crore domestically. Based on the actor’s 27% profit-sharing deal, Allu Arjun would have earned around ₹198.2 crore from profit alone. This figure does not account for overseas earnings, which could increase his total take significantly.

Box Office Highlights

Pushpa 2 smashed records on its opening day, earning ₹164 crore, surpassing RRR. Its first four-day weekend total reached ₹518 crore, making it the highest-grossing Indian film post-COVID-19 at the time. The film also crossed ₹100 crore in just three days, overtaking the net collections of Baahubali 2, KGF 2, and Kalki 2898 AD in India.

What’s Next: Pushpa 3

Fans are eagerly anticipating the third installment, which will feature Vijay Deverakonda in a key role. Allu Arjun is also reportedly involved in a new project with director Atlee Kumar, where he may take 27–30% profit from the film. Actress Deepika Padukone will play the lead role, and the film is expected to utilize extensive VFX to create a visually spectacular experience. No official title has been announced yet.
