
The New Year has brought significant administrative reshuffling and career advancement within Rajasthan’s bureaucracy, as the state government announced large-scale promotions across the IAS, IPS, and IFS cadres. According to orders issued by the Department of Personnel, 61 IAS officers, 40 IPS officers, and 23 IFS officers have been promoted, marking one of the most notable bureaucratic updates in recent times.
Among the key promotions, senior IAS officers Naveen Jain and K.K. Pathak have been elevated from the rank of Secretary to Principal Secretary, strengthening their administrative stature. The move has further enhanced the influence of K.K. Pathak, while noted IAS officer Pradeep Gawande, husband of IAS Tina Dabi, has also received a promotion.
Several IAS officers have been promoted to top-level posts. Ajitabh Sharma, Alok Gupta, Dinesh Kumar, and Rajesh Kumar Yadav have been elevated to the prestigious rank of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS). In the police cadre, senior IPS officers Prafull Kumar and Raghavendra Suhas have been promoted to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADG).
Jaipur Collector Among Officers Elevated to Higher Scale
Jaipur Collector Jitendra Soni is among 11 IAS officers promoted from the Selection Scale to the Super Time Scale. Others receiving Super Time Scale promotions include Prakash Rajpurohit, Inderjeet Singh, Neha Giri, Vishva Mohan Sharma, Kanhaiyalal Swami, Nalini Kathotiya, Rajendra Vijay, Shakti Singh Rathore, Pragya Kevalramani, and Mahavir Prasad.
22 IAS Officers Promoted to Selection Scale
A total of 22 IAS officers have been promoted from the Junior Scale to the Selection Scale. The list includes Ashish Gupta, Nathmal Didel, Namrata Vrishni, Kanaram, Anshdeep, Alok Ranjan, Nikya Gohaen, Arvind Poswal, Pradeep Gawande, Mahavir Prasad Meena, Khajan Singh, Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Lakshmi Narayan Mantri, Iqbal Khan, Kalpana Agarwal, Dr. Manish Arora, Pushpa Satyani, Pukhraj Sen, Shruti Bhardwaj, Arun Kumar Purohit, Mukul Sharma, and Ajay Singh Rathore.
11 IPS Officers Promoted to DIG Rank
In the IPS cadre, 11 officers have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG). These include Abhijeet Singh, Rashi Dogra Dudi, Vineet Kumar Bansal, Mamta Gupta, Devendra Kumar Vishnoi, Pooja Awana, Narayan Togas, Jai Yadav, Adarsh Sidhu, Dr. Kiran Kang Sidhu, and Shantanu Kumar Singh.
Forest Service Officers Also Get New Responsibilities
The promotions also extend to the Indian Forest Service. 23 IFS officers have been promoted, out of whom 11 have been elevated to the rank of Conservator of Forests. Those promoted include Dr. Kavita Singh, Ajay Chittora, Ashok Kumar Mahariya, Hari Kishan Saraswat, Devendra Pratap Jagawat, Sanjay Kumar Bhadu, Ramesh Kumar Malpani, Rajendra Kumar Hudda, Mahendra Kumar Sharma, Sudarshan Saini, and Mukesh Saini.
The wide-ranging promotions are being seen as a New Year gift for officers across services and are expected to bring renewed administrative momentum to governance in Rajasthan.
