Indore, July 22 (SDNA): Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has been honoured with a Certificate of Recognition by the Swarnim Book of Records for his outstanding contribution to environmental conservation, green development, and public participation through the creation of a 5.1 million-tree Oxygen Forest.
The recognition was presented during a ceremonial event held under the divine guidance and blessings of Pujya Anushthan Aradhika Dr. Kumud Lataji M.Sa. In the minister’s absence, the certificate was received by his son and former MLA Akash Vijayvargiya.
During the ceremony, Deepin Jain, Achal Chaudhary, Ramesh Bhandari, Virendra Kumar Jain, Prakash Bhatewara, and Vivek Jain presented the honour, stating that Kailash Vijayvargiya’s name had been entered into the Swarnim Book of Records for leading the plantation of 5.1 million saplings, resulting in the development of one of the country’s largest urban oxygen forests.
According to the organisers, under Vijayvargiya’s leadership, a massive plantation drive was carried out on the barren and rocky land of the BSF Budhaniya Campus, which has now been transformed into a vast green ecosystem. The initiative has made a significant contribution to environmental conservation, cleaner air, groundwater recharge, biodiversity preservation, and climate balance.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Kumud Lataji M.Sa. said that the plantation of 5.1 million trees was not merely a tree-planting campaign but a visionary commitment to providing future generations with a cleaner environment and healthier lives. She described the initiative as an inspiring model for society and a major step towards strengthening environmental awareness.
People from across the country who attended the ceremony praised Kailash Vijayvargiya’s dedication to environmental conservation and his visionary leadership, extending their congratulations and best wishes. The programme was conducted by Jineshwar Jain.
