Gurgaon, along with the entire Delhi-NCR region, ushered in the New Year with remarkable enthusiasm and festive spirit. The city’s most popular hotspot, Cyber Hub, witnessed an overwhelming crowd, leaving barely any space to move, giving the impression that the entire city had converged at one place to celebrate the occasion.
Families, friends, and revelers were seen celebrating together, capturing joyful moments as the New Year countdown began. As the clock struck midnight, thousands of mobile phone flashlights illuminated the area, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. Many social media users went on to compare the vibrant scenes at Cyber Hub to New York’s iconic New Year celebrations.
People also celebrated across various locations in the city, with restaurants, markets, and entertainment zones buzzing with energy well into the night.
To ensure safety and maintain law and order, Gurgaon Police made extensive security arrangements. A total of 5,400 police personnel were deployed across the city. Special security measures were implemented at 22 major New Year event venues. Additionally, police set up 10 inter-state check posts and 68 internal checkpoints, including 32 in the East Zone, 21 in the West Zone, eight in the South Zone, and seven in the Manesar Zone.
Police officials appealed to citizens to use only designated parking facilities near event venues, markets, and dining areas, ensuring smooth traffic movement and public safety throughout the celebrations.
Despite the winter chill, the high spirits and festive zeal of the people made the cold weather fade into the background, marking the beginning of 2026 on a joyful and memorable note for Gurgaon. 🎉
