With the aim of developing students’ interest in emerging and future technologies and making them skill-ready as per the evolving demands of the industry, the Prestige Institute of Engineering Management and Research (PIEMR) is organizing its annual techno-cultural fest ‘Urjotsav 2K26’. Through this event, students are getting an opportunity to directly engage with cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Drone Technology, and Robotics.
🚀 Blend of Innovation and Knowledge in the Technical Festival
Senior Director of PIEMR, Dr. Manoj Kumar Deshpande, stated that since April 30, various workshops and seminars have been conducted under this technical festival by industry experts. These sessions are not only providing students with knowledge of emerging technologies but are also guiding them on future challenges and opportunities for innovation.
🤖 Special Focus on AI, Blockchain, and Drone Technology
Director (Admissions) Dr. Rajiv Raghuvanshi said that the main objective of this year’s Urjotsav is to encourage students towards modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Drone Technology, and Blockchain.
Through various competitions, technical sessions, and workshops, students are being prepared in line with industry requirements, enabling them to contribute effectively to the future technological landscape.
🎭 Grand Cultural Festival on May 14–15
As part of Urjotsav 2K26, a two-day cultural festival will be organized on May 14 and 15. The event will feature:
- Inter-college group and solo singing competitions
- Dance performances
- Poetry and shayari presentations
- Yoga and art performances
Additionally, Celebrity Night by Naman Musica and Musical Night by DJ Revon will be major attractions, adding excitement among students.
🏆 From Sports to Technology – A Successful First Phase
The first phase of Urjotsav, which began on April 23, included a seven-day inter-house sports festival. Conducted in IPL-style format, students actively participated in various sports competitions. Outstanding performers and winning teams were also honored with awards and certificates.
💡 National-Level Tech Challenges in September
In the second phase of Urjotsav 2K26, national-level competitions will be held from September 15 to 17, 2026. Major events will include:
- Entrepreneurship Challenge
- Hackathon
- Smart Campus Design Challenge
- Robotics Simulation
These competitions, based on emerging technologies, will provide students with opportunities to innovate and move towards startups and entrepreneurship.
