CM Yogi Remembers Three Key Milestones of Ram Janmabhoomi Movement on Second Anniversary of Ram Temple Prana Pratishtha

Ayodhya: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, visited Ayodhya to mark the second anniversary of the Prana Pratishtha of the Ram Temple. Addressing a public gathering at the Ram Temple premises, CM Yogi highlighted three significant milestones in the journey of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement that shaped the temple’s present form.

CM Yogi said that since India’s independence, Ayodhya has witnessed several stages of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. While the city, historically known as a land untouched by wars, has always stood resilient against adversaries, certain individuals, driven by vested interests and political or religious ambitions, turned Ayodhya into a center of conflict and unrest.

Recalling the past 11 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Yogi highlighted three landmark events:

  1. 5 August 2020: For the first time in independent India, a Prime Minister personally visited Ayodhya and performed the historic Bhoomi Pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) of the Ram Temple, ending a 500-year-long legacy of injustice and fulfilling a centuries-old aspiration of the nation.
  2. 22 January 2024: Prime Minister Modi returned to Ayodhya to perform the Prana Pratishtha (ritual consecration) of Lord Shri Ram’s idol, marking a momentous spiritual milestone for the country.
  3. 25 November 2025: During his subsequent visit, the Prime Minister hoisted the flag of Sanatan Dharma atop the main spire of the Ram Temple, declaring that nothing stands above Sanatan Dharma and sending a powerful message to the entire nation and the world.

CM Yogi emphasized that these events not only celebrate the Ram Temple’s spiritual significance but also reaffirm Ayodhya’s enduring place in India’s cultural and historical heritage.
