New Delhi: In response to the growing number of family disputes and divorce cases within the Jain community, the Jain Media Social Welfare Society has announced a comprehensive social initiative under the leadership of Dr. Vinayak Ashok Luniya. The organization will conduct a detailed study of the root causes behind marital conflicts and implement measures aimed at strengthening family relationships and promoting lasting harmony.
As part of the initiative, the Society has decided to establish a Digital Family Counselling Centre, which is expected to become operational by August. The platform will provide professional online counselling services to Jain families across the country, helping couples resolve disputes before they escalate into legal separation or divorce.
The decision was taken during a key meeting attended by representatives from 11 Indian states. Participants unanimously agreed that addressing the increasing number of marital and family disputes requires a structured and professional approach. To achieve this, the Society will constitute a panel of psychologists, legal experts, social workers, and experienced family counsellors who will work together to identify the underlying causes of family conflicts and recommend effective solutions.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vinayak Ashok Luniya said that the growing breakdown of families cannot be addressed solely through legal proceedings. He emphasized that dialogue, counselling, emotional support, and social awareness are essential to preserving family relationships and preventing unnecessary divorces.
In addition to family counselling, the Society plans to organize legal awareness camps, social justice initiatives, and educational programs designed to strengthen family values and encourage constructive communication among family members.
According to Dr. Luniya, the proposed Digital Family Counselling Centre will enable Jain families from across India to access expert guidance remotely. The primary objective is to promote reconciliation, resolve disputes amicably, and prevent marital conflicts from reaching the stage of divorce.
Representatives attending the meeting welcomed the initiative, describing it as a timely and significant step toward preserving family values, strengthening social harmony, and providing meaningful support to families facing marital challenges within the Jain community.
