Bihar Government to Probe Delay in Women Police Barracks; Action Against Negligent Officials Expected
Patna, Feb 9, 2026: The issue of women police barracks not being constructed in Bihar has come under sharp scrutiny in the state assembly. BJP MLA Jivesh Mishra raised the matter during a session, highlighting the inaction despite the state government’s initiatives to improve facilities for women police personnel.
Responding in the assembly, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Samrat Chaudhary assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted into the officials whose negligence delayed the construction of women’s police barracks. He further stated that those found responsible will face disciplinary action. Additionally, the minister confirmed that the dilapidated conditions of the Jale and Singhwara police stations will also be reviewed.
