Patna–Buxar at 100 kmph: Nitish Govt Clears Major ‘New Road’ Project Connecting Five Ganga Bridges
The Nitish Kumar government is set to deliver a major infrastructural boost to Bihar with the launch of JP Ganga Path Phase-2, a high-speed corridor that will cut travel time between Patna and Buxar and connect the capital directly with five major Ganga bridges. Vehicles will be able to cruise at 100 kmph on this new stretch, ensuring a smooth, congestion-free journey.
Construction of JP Ganga Path Phase-2 Begins January 2026
According to Bihar State Road Development Corporation (BSRDC), construction for the 35.65 km-long expansion from Digha to Koilwar will commence by January-end.The project is valued at ₹5,500 crore, of which:
60% (₹3,300 crore) will be funded by the executing agency
