Bihar Strongman MLA Anant Singh to Take Oath Today; Will Be Brought from Jail to Assembly Under Tight Security

Patna:Noted Bihar strongman and Janata Dal (United) MLA Anant Singh will take oath as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. Following permission granted by the Patna Civil Court, Singh will be brought from Beur Central Jail to the Assembly under heavy security arrangements. Immediately after the oath-taking ceremony, he will be sent back to judicial custody. Anant Singh, popularly known as “Chhote Sarkar,” is currently lodged in jail in connection with the Dular Chand Yadav murder case, in which he has not been granted bail. He has been allowed to step out of jail solely for the purpose of taking the oath and will not be permitted to participate in any other Assembly proceedings.
