Strict Action Will Be Taken Against Negligence in Census Work

Additional Collector Navjeevan Vijay Pawar Issued Strict Instructions to Officials and Enumerators

Indore, May 12, 2026:
Reviewing the progress of the first phase of the census work being conducted in the Indore Municipal Corporation area, Additional Collector and Census In-Charge Officer Navjeevan Vijay Pawar clearly stated that no negligence of any kind would be tolerated in such an important national exercise as the census. He warned that strict action would be taken, as per rules, against enumerators showing carelessness or negligence in their duties.

During a review meeting held through video conferencing on Tuesday, Mr. Pawar conducted a detailed assessment of the progress of the census work and instructed officials and enumerators to complete all assigned tasks within the stipulated time frame while maintaining full quality and responsibility.

He especially directed those enumerators who have not yet started their assigned work to begin immediately. Mr. Pawar stated that delays or negligence in census work adversely affect the administrative system, and therefore every enumerator must perform their responsibilities with seriousness and dedication.

The Additional Collector also instructed that enumerators who have not yet reported for duty must immediately ensure their presence at the assigned workplace. Strict action will also be taken against those who continue to remain absent from duty.

He further directed officials to regularly monitor the census work and maintain proper coordination at every level to ensure the timely completion of this important campaign, which is a priority initiative of the government.
