Shocking Incident in Delhi: Man Struggling for Life Robbed by Two Scooty Riders

New Delhi: A disturbing incident has emerged from Vikas Nagar in Outer Delhi, where a man struggling on the road for his life was robbed instead of being helped. The unidentified victim, who collapsed on the street around 4 AM on Saturday, remains unidentified even four days later. His body is currently at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital’s post-mortem facility for identification.

CCTV Footage Reveals Callous Act

CCTV footage, which has gone viral on social media, shows the man suddenly collapsing on the road, writhing in distress. During this vulnerable moment, two scooty riders approached, not to assist him, but to steal his mobile phone. After taking the phone, they returned to search his pockets for valuables and cash, before fleeing the scene.

Police Action

According to DCP Sachin Sharma, the police have registered a case following the incident. Preliminary investigation suggests that the man’s death may have been due to natural causes, possibly a sudden health issue that caused him to collapse. However, the actions of the accused riders are clearly criminal. One suspect’s face was partially captured on CCTV, and police are actively tracing the duo.

This incident has shocked local residents and highlighted the callousness of bystanders exploiting vulnerable victims in the city. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward to aid in the investigation.
