According to villagers, the incident took place at a government school playground, where several children were playing cricket. The sarpanch’s son allegedly arrived at the ground with a tractor, abused and threatened the children, and then used the tractor’s bucket to destroy the cricket pitch.

Children Allegedly Threatened

Eyewitnesses claimed that when the children objected to his actions, the accused allegedly attempted to run the tractor towards them, forcing the children to flee in different directions to save their lives. Despite repeated pleas from the children to stop, he allegedly continued damaging the pitch.

Villagers said the act not only caused damage to public property but also created fear among children and local residents.

Video Goes Viral, Clarification Issued

After the video surfaced on social media, the sarpanch’s son, identified as Akhilesh, released a separate video offering his clarification and stated that he would get the playground restored. Following the incident, local officials reportedly reprimanded him.

Demand for Strict Action

Villagers and local players have demanded strict legal action, alleging misuse of influence and intimidation. They have submitted a written complaint to the police, accusing the sarpanch’s son of damaging government property and endangering the lives of children.

However, residents alleged that the police have so far remained non-committal in the matter, further fuelling public anger.

The administration has not yet issued an official statement on whether a formal case has been registered.
